Team Summary

To build their team, the Toronto Defiant went with an all-Korean roster built from the backbone of O2 Team from Contenders. With this choice, they have a built-in level of team cohesion that could stand out against the other new expansion teams. Aid, a former GGEA Academy and GC Busan support, is absolutely one player to watch. Other notable signings include former Boston Uprising flex support Neko and former LA Valiant offtank Envy.

The Shy Guy of Overwatch: Gyeong-mu “Yakpung” Jo

No one can really know what it’s like to be on the Overwatch stage unless they’ve been there. Like any other performance that is watched by so many people around the world, the pressure is on to ultimately make sure you don’t make a fool of yourself on a live broadcast, despite whether you suffer from stage fright or not. While some people can be charming on camera, some people have no interest in it at all. At the end of the day, it’s still a human being living and breathing right on your screen and it can be difficult for a lot of people to remember that.

OWL Stage One Playoffs: Vancouver Titans Take the Win

Vancouver Titans 4-3 San Francisco Shock

This weekend saw the culmination of the first stage of Overwatch League’s second season. Eight teams entered after finishing atop the standings during Stage One, but only one could be crowned winner and walk away with the lion’s share of the $500,000 on the line ($200,000 for 1st place). Every analyst saw this coming down to an inevitable Titans v Excelsior finish…they got that half right, as the Titans were there, but joined by the San Francisco Shock. Read more …

Somewhere That’s Green — Meet Kelsey “Colourhex” Birse of the Boston Uprising

It’s sometimes hard to remember at my age and with all the insanity I’ve been through in what is relatively a short period of time, that there are people out there who truly enjoy what they do and who truly live in the moment. Even my cold, bitter, whiskey-dipped heart can’t help but feel inspired by those who come to Los Angeles with a goal in mind and not only reaching that goal, but also able to share that joy with others. Everyone loves controversy.

Whether it be because it spices up an otherwise dull life, whether it be because life gives you lemons and you don’t feel like making your own lemonade, (desiring tea instead), or because the online persona that you are fascinated with somehow triggers a deep and passionate response that your Twitter fingers can’t help but transcribe. Rating and Reviewing New OWL Expansion Team Brands

In the last few months, six of the eight new expansion teams participating in Overwatch League’s second season have revealed their branding and team colors. Fans eagerly await branding reveals, whether to see how new teams fit in the League or to find out how ugly the jersey they’re buying for their favorite player will be. In any case, I found that many media outlets have posted brand updates, but haven’t really passed judgement on them. That’s what I’m here for.
