After an April Fool’s Day filled with mild pranks from a few Overwatch League teams, the OWL airwaves took a turn for the serious on Tuesday, as teams announced a slew of trades and personnel changes in advance of Stage 2 of the 2019 season.
The Paris Eternal are a proud team, as shown by their logo. They’re proud of building a roster entirely made of EU players, many brought up from winning Contenders teams, eager to prove themselves. The Eternal have also taken half of Team France with them, including tank BenBest, DPS NiCOgdh, and former Valiant DPS superstar SoOn. Keep a eye on former Fusion DPS ShaDowBurn and standout Team UK support Kruise.

Finally, after months of waiting, the first Watchpoint of Season 2 aired — and provided the much anticipated opening week schedule. There were some big changes that will be implemented in season 2 in the hopes of providing a much more dynamic year and taking into consideration the players’ needs.
First, the eight expansion teams were formally introduced. In the Atlantic Division, the Atlanta Reign, Paris Eternal, Toronto Defiant, and Washington Justice were added, along with the Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Hangzhou Spark, and Vancouver Titans for the Pacific Division.
In the last few months, six of the eight new expansion teams participating in Overwatch League’s second season have revealed their branding and team colors. Fans eagerly await branding reveals, whether to see how new teams fit in the League or to find out how ugly the jersey they’re buying for their favorite player will be. Fans have now seen the branding, colors, and in-game skins for the Overwatch League’s second EU team. Welcome the Paris Eternal.
No such thing as impossible. The news hit Twitter totally unexpected today at 11:44am CEST. While America was still sleeping at this time, possibly every single European Overwatch fan was screaming with joy. Paris’s OWL Expansion team reveals a European roster with players from the EU only!
