Boston Uprising has ended its contract with Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez. There was an official announcement on the team’s Twitter page. Here are the details.

We have posted this quickly, but there are huge implications to the Overwatch League and the Boston Uprising with this announcement.
For starters, the Overwatch League does not need this kind of press. After the problems in the beginning of the season with player suspensions and several other allegations of toxicity across the league, headlines will be everywhere. The League needs to do a much better job getting out a positive message from the players they have elevated into role models and professional personalities.
To talk about the Stage 3 implications for Boston, this leaves them with only two DPS players on their roster. Mistakes and Striker are the only two players who now fill that roles. This also drops Boston to a nine man roster going into a stage when many teams have added to their teams.
Finally, this comes in right at the end of the trade window which leaves Boston no options. They are past any point of trying to pick up a player to fill the spot.
Boston, will just have to continue to progress with their star player now completely eliminated from the Overwatch League. How it will impact this weekend, we will just have to wait and see.
