Overwatch League has signed a deal with Disney to host the playoffs on ESPN, Disney XD, and ABC networks. Here are the details.

Announced by ESPN today. Tonight’s play off matches between the Boston Uprising and Philadelphia Fusion, as well as the London Spitfire and Los Angeles Gladiators will finally break into prime time.

This is a huge leap for esports as OWL maintains one of the top ecosystems for the market. They just pushed forward into the mainstream. The league still hosts thousands of viewers on Twitch and their own network. However, the idea that esports will hit everyone’s televisions tonight is a major win for Blizzard.
