At the Overwatch World Cup group stage in Paris, France, the bracket for November’s Blizzcon Finals was revealed! We now know which teams will be facing each other in the first round. The teams going to Blizzcon are South Korea, Finland, USA, Canada, Australia, China, UK, and France.
This year’s Blizzcon bracket was assembled in a different manner than last year’s. Teams who were first in their respective group stages earned “first seed” and will not be facing other first seed teams in the quarterfinals. The first seed teams are South Korea, USA, China, and France. These teams will face second seed teams from a stage other than their own.
Quarterfinal matches were decided by ping-pong balls. Yes, ping-pong balls, drawn out of a pot. High-tech draws.
FRANCE VS. CANADA
CHINA VS. FINLAND
This means that two of these teams will advance into the semifinals and face each other.
USA VS. UK
SOUTH KOREA VS. AUSTRALIA
This means that two of these teams will also advance into the semifinals and face each other.
We look forward to seeing these teams take each other on at Blizzcon!
