Watch Out (S3W4): The Boston Uprising Seek Perfection as the Fusion Fight for Fourth

With the end of the stage approaching once again, teams are in a mad dash to secure their spot in the newly expanded 4-team playoff bracket. The Boston Uprising, NYXL and LA Valiant all seem like shoe-ins, but there’s still one more spot to consider.

Fourth place is now the most hotly contested spot in the Overwatch League, and the middle of the pack will need to step up in a big way to secure their place before playoffs come. San Francisco, Seoul, Philly, Houston, London, and the Gladiators are all within a couple maps of each other, so anyone could steal the last spot away by the time the week is through. That’s assuming we don’t see any upsets this week, either… I don’t know if I’d bet on that. Especially once you read this.  Read more …

Overwatch League – Dragons vs Fuel – S3W1

And just like that Overwatch League is back! After what has been the busiest mid-stage signing period yet, we will see many teams with new faces. One of those teams is the Dallas Fuel who have swapped Custa for Unkoe, reuniting the Frenchman with AKM. As for the Dragons, we see some new faces with Ado and Daemin, and with the ever popular Geguri, they hope to gel they’re young roster and get their first victory of the season.

Boston Uprising Players Take the Stage

The Overwatch League Changed My Life

I had a pretty strange conversation, probably ten or so times, in the week or so leading up to the first days of the Overwatch League. Didn’t matter if it was my mom, or my girlfriend, or my boss, or my coworkers, or my roommates. It went a bit like this. Every. Time.

NEW LOOK, SAME GREAT TASTE

Watch Out! is back and better than ever! Stage 2 was great, but we might be staring down the barrel of the best stage yet. Philly is already there. If any other teams want to entertain a shot at the playoffs, they’ll need to get started right here, in week 1 of stage 3. Who has what it takes?

Overwatch League – Seoul Dynasty vs. San Francisco Shock – S1W5

Let’s be honest, coming into this game, on paper, we all feel like the Seoul Dynasty should destroy the San Francisco Shock….right?! Well if Valiant showed the OWL world anything Wednesday, it’s that the Dynasty has an exploitable Achilles’ Heel. Seoul’s Support play is severely lacking as of late. I’m not sure if this is the result of attempting to change things up against London, or just that the rest of the League has caught on to how Seoul plays. If any player can take advantage of the seemingly crumbling Support players on Seoul, it would be San Francisco’s own Sleepy. Did Seoul rebound? Did their communication issues continue? Were the SF Shock able to quiet the Dynasty dreams of reigning supreme? Seoul needed to win all four maps to keep their Title Match hopes alive. Would they be able to do it, or would San Francisco keep to their name and Shock the Dynasty, as I predicted, forcing 5 maps and knocking Seoul out of the race?
