The Houston Outlaws came in with confidence after their win against the Shanghai Dragons, and the Dallas Fuel were still looking for a spark to give them their first win of the season. Overwatch League opening day numbers have been released. It has begun. Fans have waited for months in anticipation of this historic event. We’ve seen billboards popup in cities with a team and advertisements on social media apps. Blizzard has put a lot of effort into promoting the inaugural season of the league.
We previously met the DPS of the Philadelphia Fusion, but who are the players that keep them active and alive in the heat of battle? Boombox, Joemeister, Neptuno, and Dayfly are the supports for the team. Like the rest of the Fusion, the support players are a diverse group, hailing from four different countries.
With the Philadelphia Fusion having unfortunately missed the Overwatch League Preseason due to player logistics issues, we haven’t had a chance to see what they can do collectively. We can however, learn what they have done and where they come from, starting with the DPS. The 12-man roster features four DPS players: ShaDowBurn, Carpe, Eqo, and Snillo.
The Boston Uprising took on a stacked NYXL squad and performed well. Despite losing the match Boston showed more promise than expected silencing most of their critics. Our analyst Zerk has the breakdown.
