Seoul Dynasty Fans Cheering

Overwatch League: Shanghai Dragons vs. Seoul Dynasty

Seoul’s Stage 3 has been far from stellar thus far. The cherry on top of that unfortunate sundae would be a loss to the slightly improving Shanghai Dragons. Shanghai was 0-24 coming into the match, and it’s unlikely that first win should come today.

Overwatch League: Has the Korean advantage leveled out?

This weekend the Overwatch League finished the second week of Stage 3. The Los Angeles Valiant (#VALLA) won their 3rd and 4th matches of the stage to remain undefeated. Boston Uprising won a couple high profile matches to improve to 4-0 as well. 3 of the top 4 teams in the new Stage Playoff format are currently Western rosters, while the full-Korean rosters (NYXL, Seoul Dynasty, and London Spitfire) went a combined 3-3 on the week. Seoul Dynasty Wins

Overwatch League: Seoul Dynasty vs. Los Angeles Gladiators

The Seoul Dynasty have had a less than stellar start to Stage 3. Currently sitting at 2-1, they were only 1 map away from dropping a match to the Dallas Fuel earlier in the week. Los Angeles Gladiators, on the other hand have to feel pretty good about themselves at the moment, also sitting at 2-1 but currently with the advantage in maps over Seoul. This match could very much be a precursor to who may be able to make the playoffs between these two teams later in the Stage/Season. Read more …

Overwatch League: Boston Uprising vs. New York Excelsior

Boston Uprising took on East Coast rivals New York Excelsior in Thursday’s first Overwatch League match. The Uprising recently were forced to drop their star DPS player DreamKazper for…unfortunate reasons, and thus saw Mistakes filling in. The change comes at the head of the second half of the League and puts them up against the League’s highest ranked team at a disadvantage. Could they overcome the loss of their DPS or would the NYXL continue their dominance atop the league? Read more …

Overwatch League – Houston Outlaws vs London Spitfire – S3W1

Monte and Doa have to be one of the premier casting duo’s in esports as it is. That aside, Houston has beaten London in all their matchups during the regular season, but London seems to always remain the favourites. Will the Outlaws continue their winning ways against the Korean roster, or will the Spitfire repeat their postseason luck against the Green Wall.

Overwatch League – Los Angeles Gladiators vs San Francisco Shock – S3W1

Stage 3 has begun with a…well, kinda a whimper. Shanghai’s new roster didn’t solve their winless issues, but may have been eye-opening to fans and players alike just how hard language barriers are to overcome. Seoul limped into the Stage, dropping 4 maps to the LA Valiant, whose mid season tactic of ‘burn it all down’ when it comes to their roster may have preened the toxicity out to return the Valiant to their Stage 1 standards. With the last game of the night, San Francisco Shock took on the .500 Los Angeles Gladiators for an inter-state rivalry match to either assert LA dominance over their brethren from the bay, or begin the push for SF to climb the ladder.
